Helen Woods - Managing Director

Helen is an enthusiastic, experienced, engaging and well versed in good educational and training curricula with 10 years as a trainer and a further 15 years in industry driving change through training and development in management, leadership and administration.  Helen brings an extensive range of skills in designing, implementing and evaluating engaging high impact training.  Core skills include, business writing, relationship building, emotional intelligence, critical thinking, assertive skills, building confidence and adaptability in management/leadership training at all levels.  Passion, integrity and delivering on commitments are important characteristics.

Helen's academic qualifications include an Advanced Diploma in Management and a B.A. of Arts.  She has throughout her career updated her skills attending workshops and conferences in Australia and overseas.

Helen started her career in administration with the East Midlands Gas Board.  She was then offered the opportunity as an Executive Assistant to the Cleaning Contractors of Australia, an employer association, to lead a group of staff to organise a world conference/exhibition and social calendar for 400 delegates and their partners.  The conference/exhibition was a P.R. and financial success.  She went on to become Executive Director of the Welding Institute of Australia, where once again she organised a national conference for 1,500 delegates.  She also designed and developed training programs for both associations on a regular basis to keep members up to date on new products/technology that was relevant to their industry as well as the day-to-day duties expected of an Executive Director.

Helen has written papers on communication skills, assertive techniques and emotional intelligence for industry magazines and national papers.  She has been involved in conducting training programs for some of Australia's largest companies, both in the public and private sectors.  One of her greatest assets is in ensuring all participants in her training workshops learn practical skills, which are both relevant to, and of great value in their day-to-day activities.  Helen's workshops are based on interaction including a mixture of discussions, facilitating and audio-visual presentations.
